About The TearDrop Diaries

My Story

I spent 35 years behind the tattoo machine — breathing ink, skin, and stories.

My shop was my studio, my church, and my classroom. Every person who sat in my chair carried something they couldn’t say out loud, and somehow we’d turn it into art. That’s the part that always stuck with me — not just the tattoos, but the conversations, the meaning, the connection.

After decades of creating with my hands, I hit a point where the art had to evolve. My tools changed — from ink and needles to stylus and screen. But the heart behind it stayed the same. I still chase that feeling of capturing life one line at a time — just now it’s pixels instead of pigment.

These days, it’s me, my dog Hachiko, and a creative fire that won’t quit. I’m learning new tools, new mediums, and new ways to tell stories — because creativity doesn’t expire; it just transforms.

The TearDrop Diaries is where art, memory, and resilience meet.

It’s a collection of stories — some told in ink, others in pixels — about healing, purpose, and rediscovery. It’s for artists, veterans, misfits, and anyone trying to turn life into meaning.

This isn’t about perfection. It’s about the process. About learning to create again, even after the world tries to sand down your edges.

“Ink fades, but stories don’t.”

Every photo, sketch, and post here is part of my ongoing experiment: finding beauty in what’s scarred, rebuilding with what’s left, and making something honest out of all of it.
